Famous Sociologist of America DaShanne Stokes quoted that, “Ethics and oversight are what you eliminate when you want absolute power.”

As we are aware that Former Union Minister and four-time Member of Parliament Jyotiraditya Scindia separated himself from the Congress yesterday dramatically. Shortly after meeting Prime Minister Mr. Modi and Home Minister Shah in Delhi, he announced his resignation on twitter. He is expected to join the Bhartiya Janta Party sometime this week, days after denouncing the party over violence in Delhi, and is likely to be rewarded with a Rajya Sabha seat and subsequently a post in the union cabinet.

On February 26, Jyotiraditya Scindia tweeted that, “The situation in Delhi today is the result of a huge failure of duty on the part of the state and central governments. What took them so long to respond to the situation?”. He tweeted this three days after violence over the BJP-led center’s controversial citizenship law happened in North East Delhi last month.

Now the biggest question which arises is that whether there is any scope of ethics in Indian Politics is left or not? Answer to this question lies in the following quote of Famous Sociologist of America- DaShanne Stokes. He quoted that, “Ethics and oversight are what you eliminate when you want absolute power. This quote of DaShanne perfectly fit for Mr. Scindia.

On February 10, morning Mr. Scindia tweeted his resignation letter, in his resignation letter to interim Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, he said that it is now time for him to move on. It will be very interesting to see in the future what the word,”move on” means to Mr. Scindia. His resignation letter to Mrs. Gandhi is enclosed here;

Dear Mrs Gandhi,

Having been a primary member of the Congress Party for the last 18 years, it is now time for me to move on. I am tendering my resignation from the primary membership of the Indian National Congress and as you well know, this is a path that has been drawing itself out over the last year.

While my aim and purpose remain the same as it has always been from the very beginning, to serve the people of my state and country, I believe I am unable to do this anymore within this party. To reflect and realise the aspirations of my people and my workers I believe it is best that I now look ahead at a fresh start

I would like to thank you and through you all my party colleagues for providing me with a platform to have served the nation.

Regards,
Sincerely yours,
Jyotiradtiya M. Scindia

It is true that Mr. Scindia worked for Congress Party tirelessly for decades, but he always get acknowledged by Gandhi Family and Congress. During the tenure of Congress led UPA he was made Minister with important port-folio. Leaving the party just because of power desire is clearly unethical. That too he is going to join such an organisation which has always blamed and accused the Scindia family as Pro-Britisher.

BJP leader and Scindia’s aunt Yashodhara Raje on his move said that,it is a “Ghar Waapsi“. She also stated that he had done this for national interest. To Ms. Raje, “Which political theory or concept define rapacious desire to get power as National Interest?”.

Mahanaryaman Scindia, son of J.M. Scindia on Tuesday hailed his father’s decision to quit the Congress, saying it takes courage to resign from a legacy and his family has never been power hungry. I just want to say Junior Scindia that this action of his father reflects die hard greed to acquire power. He is not doing this for the welfare of people but to reinstate his lost and collapsed empire. His actions today proved that, “राजा हमेशा सत्ताधारी बना रहना चाहता है.”
